what is it?
Fat Free, in partnership with our friends at iBurst, allow you to easily rent a modem and go for a spin. If you love it, then you can simply buy a modem (at a discounted rate) and go on a monthly plan.


how much is it?
Consider renting a modem as like renting a car: You pay from the time you pick it up to the time you drop it off. Data is like mileage, we throw in an allowance which covers you for general running around (web and email) but if you're planning a big trip (downloading a lot), then you can pre-buy extra mileage allowance at a discounted rate of 1GB for $50, otherwise you can just pay for your extra mileage when you return it (at 15c per MB). You can either rent a single modem which is good connecting one computerat a time, or if you want to share your connection then you can rent a Wi-Fi Hotspot Kit.

Have you got a PCMCIA Card slot?
If your laptop is under a year old you may have an Express Card slot and not a PC Card slot...confusing we know! Either check your manual or eject the plastic filler that is often in the slot when not being used – if it has a step, or is narrow, it is Express Card (modems available very soon!). If in doubt, go USB or ethernet...

how do I get it?
You simply call us on 1300 726 831 or order online (preferably 24 hours notice) and we’ll either courier it to you or send by Express Post for next business day delivery. You MUST quote "iBurst Rent, Try, Buy" at the time of ordering to qualify for the 25% off promotion.
